Oreo Randonneuring Endurance Open

  • Lester Park 61 Lester River Road Duluth, MN, 55804 United States (map)

A ride fuelled only by Oreo cookies! How far can you go?

The Rules:

Each rider is allotted one package of Oreos (any flavor, standard size, BYOO) and a quart of milk of their choice. We will ride a loosely set course up Lester River Rd and back down whichever route you'd like back to the pavilion. Maximum distance and maximum Oreo consumption is the goal. How far can you ride fuelled only by Oreo cookies??

The fun-petitive ride will commence at 8am at Lester Park pavilion. Riders will run to a table to grab their package and back to their bikes. Water, coffee, and milk are approved beverages, only Oreos for fuel (on your honor!). Flavor trades are approved.

Each lap is 1 point. Additional points per 5 Oreos consumed and for bonus points to be communicated by event start. Come 2pm, the rider with the most points takes home bragging rights and a special prize. Bonus laps and after party to follow the crowning of the Oreo Chomp-ian.

Points Structure:

  • 1 lap (9 mi) = 1 pt

  • 5 Oreos eaten = 1 pt

  • Tradsies (trade flavors) = 1 pt per flavor trade

  • Big Dipper (drink 1 pt of milk) = 1 pt (1 qt = 2 pt)

  • Leche-dor (drink 1 qt of milk in one big chug*) = 5 pts

  • Double Stuff’d (consume the full pack, regular or family size) = 3 bonus pts

  • Up Chuck = - 2 pts (Don’t eat til ya puke, y’all!)

  • Flavor Saver (milk moustache photo posted w/ #OreoRando) = 1 pt

  • Spirit of the Cookie Monster (popular vote during awards, costumes may help??) = 5 pt

  • Surprise bonus snacks at the “aid station” = variable pts

Each lap you should check in at the leaderboard and update your tally based on the lap or any bonus points. Take a photo to log your points.

Join for all, or for a bit. You can RSVP (DM, text, email) and I'll bring your Oreos and milk, or you can BYOO.
